The aim of this article consists in making an analysis of investments in the area of constructions in Romania during 2001-2012 based on the information provided by the National Institute of Statistics. Investments are analyzed distinctly during: 2001-2012. Further the results obtained in the area of constructions in the period are also presented, but also some considerations on the development and tendencies in the constructions market in Romania. The article ends with the authors’ conclusions about the future developments of constructions in Romania, and proposals for adopting measures of redress for this important segment of Romanian economy.
