This study examined Muslim workers' understanding of the halalan tayyiban concept in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food sector. The halalan tayyiban concept encompasses not only aspects of production and product management but also spiritual values and workers’ attitudes. Using a quantitative approach involving questionnaires and statistical analysis, the findings indicate that the workers’ level of understanding is moderate. The main factors identified were limited exposure and insufficient emphasis on workers’ personal aspects. Therefore, SMEs are encouraged to enhance their efforts to provide information and continuous training to strengthen workers’ understanding of the halalan ?ayyiban concept.
