This systematic literature review examines the role of halal warehouses in ensuring halal integrity within supply chain management systems. The increasing complexity of global halal supply chains has raised concerns regarding contamination risks, governance weaknesses, and inconsistencies in maintaining Shariah compliance across procurement, storage, distribution, and logistics activities. Despite the critical function of halal warehouses as control points for preserving product integrity, existing literature remains fragmented, particularly in relation to governance mechanisms, digital integration, and consumer-driven sustainability expectations. Therefore, this study aims to synthesize current evidence on how halal warehouse operations contribute to halal integrity assurance across supply chain networks. A systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA protocol, drawing data from two academic databases, namely Scopus and Econbiz. A structured keyword search was applied using the terms “halal warehouse,” “halal integrity,” “supply chain management,” and “Islamic culture.” The screening process followed inclusion and exclusion criteria based on relevance, publication year (2020–2026), and thematic alignment. A total of 24 primary studies (n = 24) were included for final analysis. The findings were categorized into three main themes: (1) Halal Supply Chain Management, Governance and Operational Efficiency, which highlights the importance of regulatory compliance, warehouse control systems, and standardized halal practices; (2) Digital Transformation and Technological Innovation in Halal Supply Chains, emphasizing the role of blockchain, RFID, and digital traceability systems in strengthening transparency and monitoring; and (3) Consumer Behaviour, Sustainability and Islamic Perspectives in Halal Supply Chains, which reveals the influence of consumer awareness, sustainability orientation, and Islamic ethical values on trust and purchasing decisions. The review concludes that halal warehouses function as critical integration hubs that connect governance, technology, and consumer expectations in maintaining halal integrity. Strengthening digital infrastructure and harmonized governance frameworks is essential to enhance end-to-end halal assurance in modern supply chains.
