A Bibliometric Analysis of Review of Busy Board: Evidence from Web of Science

This study aims to present a comprehensive knowledge mapping and an in-depth analysis of busy boards research to understand better global trends and direction in this filed that emerged between 1970 and 2025. Bibliometric analysis is applied to analyse the growth and publishing trends in busy board literature; 127 articles were applied in the review. The knowledge mapping based on VOSviewer presents the current research status, which contains the analysis of the collaboration network, co-citation network, references with citation bursts and keyword analysis. The result that China and United States are the most prominent countries in exploring the busy boards. This analysis of the article offers valuable insights into the intellectual structure of the field, helping future researchers to recognize the most influential works, understand the connections between different research strands, and identify potential gaps or directions for further exploration.
