A systematic literature review was undertaken to assess the existing collection of information pertaining to the design and development of project-based learning and game-based learning within the domain of Home Science. There are two primary methodologies: topical approach and critical review technique. The article examines the process of conducting systematic literature review using PRISMA procedure. Initially, a research objective and a research question were established. Subsequently, a substantial selection of sources within the existing body of literature was discovered. The data were then obtained from these sources subsequent to the implementation of exclusionary filters. In the analysis and reporting of the findings, descriptive statistics was employed. Furthermore, the implications arising from these findings were thoroughly examined and analysed. The researchers were able to discover many themes through the literature review, revealing the presence of gaps in knowledge. Further investigation is necessary in the realm of Design and Development of Project-based Learning and Game-based Learning within the domain of Home Science.
